UNCONDITIONAL BASIC INCOME: HISTORY, BACKGROUND, THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS

Abstract (English):
This article examines the concept of unconditional basic income (UBI) as an innovative social policy tool aimed at reducing poverty and improving economic stability. The study covers the analysis of the historical development of UBI, its theoretical foundations and practical application in various countries. The main emphasis is placed on studying the potential and risks of introducing UBI in various socio-economic conditions. The article presents the results of international experiments that demonstrate the diversity of approaches to the implementation of UBI and its impact on the social well-being of the population. Possible sources of UBI financing and the challenges associated with its introduction, including the risks of increasing inflation and reducing labor activity, are considered. The study emphasizes the importance of further analytical work on assessing the effectiveness of UBI for various economic models and social conditions.
