The article considers the issues of estimating the standard costs of business entities and other economic activities arising in connection with the fulfillment of labor protection requirements in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers. Based on the analysis of the regulatory framework, industry-specific features of the automotive industry and the practical experience of enterprises, key cost groups are identified: organizational and managerial, logistical, medical and training. It has been established that the greatest burden falls on the costs of providing employees with personal protective equipment, medical measures and modernization of production infrastructure. The main regulatory problems have been identified, including redundancy of requirements, high administrative burden and limited financial capabilities of small businesses. The optimization directions are substantiated, including the digitalization of document management, automation of training, expansion of tax incentives and adaptation of international practices. The results obtained can be used in improving government policy and shaping enterprise strategies in the field of occupational safety.
