MECHANISM FOR ENSURING ECONOMIC SECURITY OF THE FOREST INDUSTRY COMPLEX IN THE CONTEXT OF THE TRANSITION TO DEEP WOOD PROCESSING
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The study presents the problem of ensuring the economic security of the timber industry complex under the legislative restriction on the export of unprocessed wood and the exhaustion of the extensive model of forest management. Based on multiple regression analysis, the critical dependence of logging volumes on manual labor costs is proved, which necessitates the rapid technological modernization of enterprises. It is revealed that the intensive exploitation of the forest resource base provokes the development of degradation technogenesis in forest ecosystems, reducing their productivity. To level the identified threats, a comprehensive approach is scientifically substantiated, including the transition of production facilities to deep raw material processing with the manufacture of environmentally safe building materials. The results of applying resource-saving technologies are systematized: the efficiency of using energy-saving logging machines, introducing intermediate accumulators into planting devices (reducing the omission of containerized seedlings to 2.82%), conducting mechanical soil mineralization, and complex felling (increasing the target coniferous wood stock by 3.6 times) is proved. An organizational and economic mechanism has been developed that synchronizes regulatory frameworks, investment flows, and technological innovations. The functioning of the proposed mechanism institutionally consolidates the intensive production model, ensuring the elimination of raw material export dependence, a multiple increase in labor productivity, and the preservation of the ecological balance of exploited territories.
