Food supply to the population is an important element of the state's economic security system, while occupying a priority position. The purpose of the article is to identify the destabilizing factors causing instability in the field of food security from the point of view of economic security, as well as to substantiate comprehensive criteria for optimal decision-making in conditions of uncertainty. The study reveals the place of food security in the national security architecture, identifies categories of risks and threats, and systematizes endogenous and exogenous factors that form complex threats to Russia's food security that require integrated management. A method is proposed for choosing the optimal strategy for managing food security risks based on multi-criteria vector optimization, which provides comprehensive consideration of diverse risk factors. The results of the study can be taken into account when developing risk management measures for various systems, taking into account food safety requirements.
