TRANSFORMATION OF CONCEPTUAL AND THEORETICAL APPROACHES TO MANAGING JEWELRY HOLDINGS IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITALIZATION
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article summarizes and develops conceptually theoretical grounds for analyzing the dynamics of the emergence and development of holding structures in the jewelry industry, which predetermines the effective management of such structures in the context of digital transformation. The need to apply a polymetodological approach in the analysis of the specifics of the holding form of integration in the jewelry industry is justified: on the basis of neo-institutionalism, the theory of transaction costs, post-Keynesianism and the theory of capital concentration, as well as risk theory. Based on the analysis of empirical data on the development of jewelry holdings and relevant management practices in the context of digitalization, it is concluded that the economic logic of holding integration is transformed in the direction of the "ecosystem approach" and the "lifestyle model" as a reaction to the growth limits of the traditional jewelry market. As a consequence, management models use the concepts of ecosystem and platform approaches and the theory of dynamic abilities.
