The article discusses theoretical and methodological approaches to modeling the impact of the development of the tourist and recreational complex on the socio-economic parameters of the population in the regional aspect. It is argued that the development of tourism has a complex impact on the quality of life, affecting the level of employment, investment activity, infrastructure, accessibility of services and general social satisfaction of the population. The authors have identified a multifactorial dependence of the quality of life on the intensity of tourist flows, the scale of investment support for the industry and the level of development of the hospitality infrastructure. The paper proposes a model that makes it possible to quantify the relationship between the growth rates of the tourism industry and objective, as well as subjective indicators of the well-being of the region's residents. A methodology for the integral assessment of the impact of tourism on territorial development is presented, taking into account the indices of economic efficiency, infrastructural security and social satisfaction. It is concluded that it is necessary to include tourism policy in the overall strategy of socio-economic development of the regions as an important condition for a sustainable increase in the quality of life of the population.
