Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
This paper examines the formation of prerequisites and causes of population concentration in cities and urban agglomerations as a negative trend in the spatial development of the Russian Federation in the context of ensuring the economic security of the state. The object of the research is the spatial development of the Russian Federation in the context of ensuring the economic security of the state. The subject of the research is the prerequisites and causes of population concentration in cities and urban agglomerations as a negative trend in the spatial development of the Russian Federation in the context of ensuring the economic security of the state. The research used methods of complex and comparative analysis, grouping, graphical and tabular representation of data, deductive methods of cognition, mathematical models, as well as methods for identifying correlations and cause-effect relationships. According to the results of the research, it was determined that, taking into account historical, institutional, political, and economic factors, a polarized development of the subjects of the Russian Federation has formed in the Russian Federation, where large and major subjects (as well as some «raw materials») become even more attractive for internal migration. The rest of the country's territories continue to stagnate, as there is no mechanism for the transfer of positive effects from advanced territories to lagging ones. Thus, according to the results of the research, it was determined that there is an increase in the level of threats to the economic security of the state and it is necessary to take drastic measures to create measures within the framework of the 2030 Strategy to reverse the negative trends in the spatial development of the Russian Federation.
