The region's infrastructure, its quality, and the degree of development have a direct impact on the state of the region's economy and affect its economic potential. The article discusses an important methodological problem of quantifying the integrated effectiveness of regional transport infrastructure. Currently, comprehensive methods for assessing the impact of transport infrastructure on the development of regional economies are not used. Meanwhile, they allow us to identify the long-term economic effect of the development of transport infrastructure at the regional level. The article describes an algorithm for a comprehensive assessment of the financial and economic efficiency of the development of regional transport infrastructure. Determinants that directly characterize the development of the economy and its infrastructure have been selected as private indicators of a comprehensive assessment. Based on the materials of the Chuvash Republic, key areas of transport infrastructure development have been identified.
